Important News for Spring Quarter
Centralia College will begin the spring term on April 6, a week later than the original planned start date of March 30. The Financial Aid Office understands that many students were relying on receiving their funding on March 30, so we have worked to change our procedures for spring quarter.
Tuition and Balance Checks
For spring quarter only, we will be releasing financial aid funds prior to the quarter starting.
Tuition will be paid on March 27 and remaining funds will be paid to you in a balance check. That check will be mailed to you. We will begin mailing balance checks Wednesday, April 1. After April 1, you can update your address online.
If you receive a balance check and do not plan to attend, the check needs to be voided and returned in the enclosed self-addressed envelope.
You need to begin your classes on April 6 or you will be billed for all of the financial aid you received.
If you drop any classes between March 30-April 17, and it changes your enrollment status, (see chart below), you will be billed. You can send questions about changing your schedule and what it means via email to email@example.com.

Since you will be receiving your funding before the quarter starts, we are strongly encouraging you to order books online and have them shipped to your house. Information on books and course materials is available on the bookstore website. Web orders will be processed as quickly as possible, all you need is your class schedule.
If you are using BFET, Veterans, L&I, Worker Retraining, Work First, Early Achievers, Opportunity Grant, or scholarship for your books/course materials, please select "SPR20 OTHER FUNDS" as your payment method online. You may still have to enter a credit card for any books ordered, but, once your financial aid is confirmed, it will not be charged.
Curb-side pickup for books ordered online will be available March 30-April 10 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Just pull up to one of the numbered parking spaces in the TAC parking lot, call the number on the sign and let us know you're here. We'll bring your completed order out to you. Please have your order number and valid ID ready. After April 10, call 360-623-8625 and make arrangements to pick up your order.

Due to current social distancing protocols, the financial aid office has changed how we serve students through at least April 27.

- If you have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our goal is to respond within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
- Since we are working remotely during this time, email is the best way to get a hold
Phone calls will not be answered before April 7.
The Financial Aid Office understands these are uncertain and confusing times. We want to make sure students are able to get through spring quarter as smoothly as possible. We appreciate all of your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes
