Centralia College begins summer quarter on July 1. Important information for students is included below.

Tuition and Balance Checks

Financial Aid balance checks will be available from 9 to noon Thursday, July 2,  in the TAC parking lot.  Please do not arrive any earlier than 9 am. 

  • Enter the parking lot on the west side (the entrance next to Washington Hall) and proceed to the check-in tent. 
  • Remain in your vehicle and be ready to present photo identification to the financial aid representative at the check-in tent. 
  • Any financial aid checks that are not picked up by noon will be mailed to students. 

Please verify that your address is up to date with both Admissions and Financial Aid.  Contact the Financial Aid Office immediately via email at if you drop any of your classes and your enrollment status changes (see below):

Please note: Not all summer financial aid has been processed so we want to encourage you to check the financial aid portal to check the status of your award.  We also are working with the cashier’s office to hold classes for those students who have applied and appear to be eligible for financial aid.  

Buying Books

**BFET, Worker Retraining, Work First, Early Achievers, or Opportunity Grant funding is not available until July 1, whether in-store or online.**

In-Person Hours

The Bookstore will be open to students from  8 a.m.-4 p.m. June 29-July 2 to purchase course materials and supplies.The bookstore is closed Friday, July 3. 

All social distancing procedures will be followed (6 feet distancing, the number of students allowed in the store at a time will be limited, and students need to wear a mask).

Bookstore hours after July 3 are to be determined, and will be posted on the bookstore website

Online Orders

If you prefer to use online ordering and are using BFET, Worker Retraining, Work First, Early Achievers, Opportunity Grant, Veterans, L&I, or a scholarship for your course materials, please select "SMR20 OTHER FUNDS" as your payment method.  You may still have to enter a credit card for any rental books ordered, but it will not be charged. 

Web orders with "SMR20 OTHER FUNDS" as the payment method, will be shipped after funding is verified. If funding cannot be verified, the order cannot be shipped until another payment method is provided. Please leave a valid contact phone number in case we need to contact you. BFET, Worker Retraining, Work First, Early Achievers, and Opportunity Grant funds are not available until July 1. Your order cannot be shipped before this date.

Due to current social distancing protocols, the financial aid office has changed how we serve students. 

  • Our offices are closed to students.
  • If you have questions, email Our goal is to respond within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
  • Since we are working remotely during this time, email is the best way to get a hold of us.

The Financial Aid Office understands these are uncertain and confusing times. We want to make sure students are able to get through spring quarter as smoothly as possible. We appreciate all of your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes
