Running Start Admission
Getting started at Centralia College is easy and free. Student seeking to participate in the Running Start program can follow these simple steps to apply and register.
Running Start is a state program for academically qualified juniors and senior high school students. You can enroll in courses to fulfill high school graduation requirements and earn college credit.
Step One - Apply for Running Start
Complete the Running Start application. Submit to the Advising/Counseling Center.
Step Two - Submit Transcripts
Submit your official high school transcript to the Advising/Counseling Center.
Step Three - Submit Placement
Submit Smarter Balanced test scores to the Advising/Counseling Center or take the college placement test. See College Placement Testing Tips. To qualify for Running Start, a student must test into English 101.
Step Four - Meet with an Advisor
Schedule an appointment for advising by calling the Advising/Counseling Center at 360-623-8967 or Centralia College East (Morton) at 360-496-5022.
Step Five - Attend an Orientation
The student and a parent or guardian must attend a mandatory Running Start Student and Parent Orientation.

Step Six - Register
Register at the Enrollment Services Office with your registration form and the completed and signed Running Start Verification Form.
