New Students at CC
Applying to Centralia College is easy. There is no application fee. Applications are accepted throughout the year for entrance into any quarter and most programs
You are considered a new student if you have never attended Centralia College before or if you've been away from CC for a year or more.
Step One - Apply for Admission
Applying for admissions to Centralia College is as simple as visiting the Enrollment Services Office (second floor of the TransAlta Commons on the main campus or Centralia College East in Morton) or completing an online admission form. There is no cost to apply.
Step Two - Arrange Funding
After submitting your application, you'll want to start applying for financial aid right away. CC's Financial Aid Office can help. Apply by March 1 for maximum availability.
Step Three - Submit Placement & Transcripts
Proper placement in English and math is determined by a college placement test. Centralia College uses the Accuplacer Next Generation test, but you may also submit previous college transcripts or Smarter Balanced test scores. Visit the Testing Center to arrange for a placement test.
If you would like credits earned at any other college considered for transfer to Centralia College, you must send official transcripts to Enrollment Services. You also must complete and submit your Application for Credit Evaluation to Enrollment Services. Credit evaluation will not be processed until your official transcript(s) and Application for Credit Evaluation are received.
Centralia College grants credits to students who have earned an appropriate score on the Advanced Placement (AP) Tests of the College Board in the subject areas listed on the Advanced Placement (AP) Course Equivalency Guide (pdf).
Centralia College grants credits to students who have earned an appropriate score on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Tests in the subject areas listed on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Course Equivalency Guide (pdf).
Step Four - Complete an Orientation
All students new to Centralia College are required to complete an orientation. Students with fewer than 35 college credits at admission are required to complete the Online Orientation.
Step Five - See an Advisor
Contact the Advising/Counseling Center (second floor of the TransAlta Commons or at Centralia College East in Morton) at email@example.com to schedule an appointment for New Student Advising and Registration.
